Mathurawasi Family Accepting the Gita for Distribution: A New Day, A New Gift of Grace

On June 6, 2015, in a moment that felt straight out of Braj’s divine atmosphere, a family from Mathura—the sacred land of Sri Krishna’s childhood pastimes—reminded us that even those already blessed with the Bhagavad Gita can keep the mercy flowing by sharing it again and again.

I offered them a copy of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita.

“We are from Mathura and live there… We are already having Bhagavad Gita,” they said with quiet pride.

“All glories to you enriched souls for belonging to the Brajbhoomi!” I replied joyfully. “Then may I please request you to have this Gita for distributing to your loved ones!”

“We have already distributed many… Thanks for offering,” they responded humbly.

I smiled and asked gently, “Did you have your breakfast for today, by the way : )?”

“Yes… But why please?”

“Just wanted to ask why you did not skip it today, since you have eaten breakfast many times in your lives! Sorry to ask this please : )”

The father answered thoughtfully, “Every new day we need to have energy, and food is what prepares and boosts us for performing day-to-day tasks… That’s obvious!!”

“Exactly, Uncle Ji,” I said. “Rightly said. Every day is a new one. So why not to distribute the Gita also every new day? It can prepare us for doing eternal service in the abode of Sri Sri Radha Krishna. It can boost us to become more and more advanced spiritually!!”

At that moment, the son (sitting on the right) spoke up brightly: “Papa, I think we can have this… I can give Bhagavad Gita to my known friends.”

The father looked at his son with affection and nodded. “Alright Son : )”

With that loving family decision, they accepted the book, ready to continue the chain of grace.

I am thankful to this wonderful Mathurawasi family for accepting the Bhagavad Gita once again—for distributing it further!

All glories to Srila Prabhupada, who made Lord Krishna’s words reach every corner of the world, including the very land where Krishna walked.

This sweet exchange is a perfect reminder: Just as we never say “I’ve eaten breakfast enough times—I can skip it today,” we never finish distributing spiritual knowledge. Every new sunrise brings fresh energy through prasadam, and every new opportunity brings fresh life through the Gita. The son’s innocent eagerness to share with friends shows how naturally bhakti flows through generations—especially in a family already touched by Braj’s dust.

To every soul already blessed with the Gita: You haven’t “finished” sharing it. Like breakfast for the body, the Bhagavad Gita is daily nourishment for the soul—and passing it on keeps the energy alive, both for the giver and the receiver.

Have you ever re-gifted or re-shared a spiritual book that had already touched your life? Or has someone’s simple reminder encouraged you to keep distributing Lord Krishna’s mercy? Share your experience below—your story might inspire another family to say “Alright” with a smile.

More divine moments from the streets coming soon, all building toward a book filled with these sacred, everyday transmissions of love.
