A Mother’s Birthday Gift from Lord Krishna!!

On July 2, 2015, in what felt like one of those perfectly timed divine arrangements, a young Sikh gentleman walked straight into a moment that would make both his heart and his mother’s birthday glow with unexpected grace. His words carried the sincerity of someone who had been quietly searching—and Lord Krishna answered in the most beautiful way.

I offered him a copy of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita.

“Hey, I was looking for this book…” he said with bright eyes.

“That’s great!”, I happily responded

“Yes… Though I am a Sikh, I was eagerly looking to have this book.”

Curious, I asked gently, “What inspires you to study the Bhagavad Gita?”

“First is the coincidence!!” he replied.

“Coincidence?”

“Yes… Tomorrow is my mom’s birthday. I was looking for this book for myself as well as for my mom. It is really amazing that just now I was thinking what gift I can give to my mom, and you are here to give me… So this coincidence is a big inspiration for me!!”

“And second,” he continued, “someone dear to me told that this book explains how life should be lived, so I was curious to know what’s in it…”

“That’s nice,” I said, deeply touched.

“Thank you so much for making my wish come true…”

“Be thankful to God… He arranges everything… Everything!!”

As he took the book with a grateful smile, the air felt filled with quiet joy.

I am thankful to this beautiful soul for doing the best service for his mother and for himself—bringing the Bhagavad Gita into their lives on the eve of her birthday!

All glories to Srila Prabhupada, whose Bhagavad Gita, As It Is, continues to fulfill sincere wishes across every faith and background.

This encounter is a heartwarming reminder that Lord Krishna’s mercy knows no labels. Whether Sikh, Hindu, or any other path, when a sincere desire arises—to understand how to live rightly, to give something truly valuable to a loved one—Lord Krishna arranges the meeting. What the young man called “coincidence” was Lord Krishna’s loving orchestration: a birthday gift that would bless not only his mother but his own spiritual journey too.

The Bhagavad Gita doesn’t belong to one community; it belongs to every soul searching for truth, duty, love, and the right way to live. As this gentleman discovered, sometimes the perfect gift arrives exactly when the heart is ready—and it carries the voice of the Supreme Himself, guiding both giver and receiver towards a life of meaning and devotion.

To every son, daughter, brother, sister reading this: The most precious birthday gift isn’t always material. Sometimes it’s a book that whispers eternal truths, a scripture that teaches how to live with love, integrity, and surrender. If a thought for your loved one’s well-being arises, trust it—Lord Krishna may already be arranging the way.
