Best of All Best Acts Is to Glorify Lord Krishna

“I have seen you long time back when you were trying to give this book to someone. Why you are taking so pain to give Srimad Bhagavad Gita..?”

“The act which seems painful to you is the actual pleasure and treasure of the soul,” I replied gently. “Glorifying God and His teachings is the best of all best things that could happen in anyone’s life. Those who glorify Lord Krishna are always in eternal bliss—like Surdas Ji, Meera Bai Ji, Vallabhacharya Ji, Narsingh Mehta Ji, Swami Haridas Ji, Raskhan Ji, Vidyapati Ji, the Six Goswamis of Vrindavan, and Srila Prabhupada Ji, to name a few.”

“But every individual has his own likings and dislikings. How can you say that this is the best..?”

“I will not answer this question by words,” I said softly. “You yourself can experience. And for that, start studying Bhagavad Gita daily and tell any one of your near and dear ones what you studied in a day. When you will read and speak of the transcendental knowledge, the real bliss will start manifesting—because all this is very dear to the soul inside you, who has been transmigrating through bodies from time immemorial and has always wanted to serve the originator, Lord Krishna. So please have this book and get your answer.”

“But I may not understand what is there in this book, what to speak of telling to others!”

“So here is the secret,” I continued. “Pray to the Lord for His grace and mercy before studying Bhagavad Gita. Not only you—nobody can understand this most confidential knowledge unless there is the mercy of God or His representative. Ask for the mercy and start studying this scripture daily. Then see the magic.”

A long, thoughtful silence followed.

“Try. Please try.”

Another pause, then a soft, determined reply: “Ok. Will try.”

I am thankful to this soul for giving himself a chance to experience the manifestation of real bliss through daily reading and sharing of the Bhagavad Gita!

All glories to Srila Prabhupada, whose life and books continue to show the world that glorifying Lord Krishna is the highest joy—and the easiest path to it.
