The Gift That Waits Patiently: When Ajay Decided to Share the Spiritual Knowledge of Bhagavad Gita

Ajay, like so many of us, already had Bhagavad Gita at home—but the real beauty unfolded when he considered passing it forward to those he knew.

I offered him a fresh copy of Srimad Bhagavad Gita.

“I already have this book at my home…” he said politely.

“That’s great! So please gift this book to your known ones.”

“How can one gift this sacred book!! It all depends upon the personal interest of the other person to read it or not…”

“Yes,” I replied gently, “but at the same time it also depends upon your guidance. In this age of Kali, everybody is misguided in so many ways. Giving proper guidance by providing access to this sacred scripture is actually a great deed. Lord Krishna Himself says in verses 68–69 of Chapter 18 that the one who shares this spiritual knowledge of the Gita becomes very dear to Him.”

“So you think they will read it…?”

“If not today, then tomorrow—but someday they will read it once they have it, I am sure. As one day the clouds will disappear and the sun appears, similarly the time will pass and the book will get opened. The seed of knowledge is planted the moment Bhagavad Gita enters their hands.”

“Can I see this book…”

“All yours…”

As he took the copy, his expression softened into quiet determination.

I am thankful to Ajay for accepting the Bhagavad Gita for gifting to his known ones—becoming an instrument of Lord Krishna’s mercy!

All glories to Srila Prabhupada, who made this sacred book so accessible that even one small act of sharing can fulfill Lord Krishna’s own promise of becoming dear to Him.

This conversation carries a tender, timeless encouragement: We often hesitate to share spiritual books, thinking, “What if they don’t read it?” or “It depends on their interest.” In this Kali-yuga, where so many are lost in misdirection, simply placing this sacred book of Srimad Bhagavad Gita in someone’s hands is an extraordinary act of kindness. As Ajay realized, the clouds of distraction and doubt eventually part. The sun of knowledge rises. And when it does, the one who gifted the book shares in Lord Krishna’s special affection.

To every reader who already has the Gita at home: Consider becoming someone’s “cloud-parting” friend. Gift a copy to a family member, colleague, neighbour, or even a stranger whose heart might be quietly searching. You don’t need to preach—just offer. The rest is Lord Krishna’s loving arrangement.

Have you ever gifted the Gita (or any spiritual book) and later heard it made a difference—days, months, or even years later? Or has someone’s small gift of scripture changed your life? Share your story below—your experience could inspire the next Ajay.

Keep gifting Lord Krishna’s words—the Sun always rises.
