Try this 60-second experiment tonight
Pick up your bansuri (any scale is fine).
Blow a nice steady Sa.
Now slowly uncover the Re hole while still blowing. Don’t lift your finger fast—take 3–4 full seconds.
That smooth “oooooh” glide you just heard? That’s meend. That’s the sound that makes people close their eyes and smile.
Do it again from Re → Ga, then Ga → Ma.
That’s it. You just unlocked 80 % of what makes the bansuri sound “Indian” and soulful.
